Could be...: Could be many things that lead to left groin pain. Sometimes it is the large intestine having problems (constipation, diverticulitis, etc...), or maybe the left ovary, or a hernia forming, etc... The muscles in the abdominal wall can also ache. Pains can also come from various nerves coming out of the spinal cord, and they don't have to be exactly where the pain is, as pain can be "referred".
