Left upper abd pain: Any flu-like symptoms like coughing? Costochondritis can cause significant pain. How long ago was the C-section done? Any pain when you push in that area or associated with eating? Thanks for the clarification of which side. The colonic flexure and spleen occupy the left upper quadrant of the abdomen. H/o stomach ulcer? If so, tylenol, (acetaminophen) no NSAIDS. Try ice pack. If severe or short of breath, ER.
