Benign torticollas: There is a poorly understood process called benign paroxysmal torticollis of infancy that arises in late infancy. It is transient , recurrent & can be associated with agitation, pallor or vomiting. Some suspect a tie in with the process of vertigo in adults, but this resolves usually before 3. Head tilt can also reflect a problem with eye muscle balance but usually would only involve one side.
