Is it ok to work with a midwife with placenta previa? i have a complete previa, and am 29 weks pregnant and my midwife wont refer me to a doctor.

I would get a doctor: While your delivery will probably go just fine you are definitely at increased risk for complications that the midwife might be capable of handling but a midwife who denies you access to a physician's opinion when you have specific concerns is arrogant and dangerous and destined for a fall. You don't want to be the case that goes over their head.

NO!: See a maternal-fetal medicine specialist immediately if you have been diagnosed with placenta previa! midwives should only manage uncomplicated pregnancies and placenta previa is one of the most dire pregnancy complications i can think of.
