Is it normal to get pain on the right abdominal during ovulation?

Yes: If it's the r ovary that ovulates that month then it's in very close proximity to the ring. However if it's the only side every month i would probably get and ultrasound by your gynecologist to make sure theres not a cyst on your r ovary.
