Pain in "left lower quadrant" is more often of intestinal origin than ovarian, although an ovarian follicle rupture is brief but can cause significant pain. An inflamed diverticulum will tend to last longer and not only be associated with ovulation. See your GYN physician for an exam and ultrasound to determine the origin of the pain.
