Doctor can evaluate: A bump on the face can be an acne cyst containing trapped skin cells or trapped oils. There are other reasons for bumps, and they are hard to describe in words. A dermatologist can evaluate, and decide if it is anything worrisome. Other reasons for bumps include flesh-colored moles, sebaceous glands, warts, etc..., and even some cancers.
