Not to worry: Everyone is different. Some people have a high tolerance for pain and some people cannot tolerate a needle stick for a blood test. You should ask your OB about an epidural and request this when you are in active labor (frequent and strong contractions). This will enable you to tolerate the contractions but still be able to move and experience labor.
