A member asked:

My friend is getting a tingle sensation in his back/spine when eating food or drinking water, mostly cold substances should he be concerned?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Upper or lower back?: Upper back symptoms, including tingling, pain, pressure, tightness can be provoked by a variety of digestive system disorders. Spinal conditions almost never are provoked simply by swallowing. The same is true for low back issues, wherein lower digestive problems may cause such symptoms.
