Cervical spine issue: Neck (cervical spine) and shoulder problems co-exist and also can have similar symptoms with pain radiating to either structure. When shoulder specialists examines the shoulder, the neck is always examined. Its possible that a pinched nerve in the c-spine is causing the symptoms. Try an anti-inflammatory medication such as advil (ibuprofen) for a few days, and if no improvement see your primary care doctor, who can then refer you to a specialist if necessary.
