A member asked:

As a male, will keeping my groin area shaved, assist in not breaking out with a yeast infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unusual for males : A yeast infection is a bit unusual for males regardless if you shave or not. The yeast are always present in poo & with normal hygiene practices, the male genitals & surrounding skin are too dry to promote their growth. Uncircumcised males are a bit more prone to infection under the foreskin &must make an effort to clean more surfaces>hair has no effect on yeast growth in general.
