Rare Disease: A rare kidney disease found only in adults. It is believed to derived from chronic exposure to a chinese herb named aristolochic acid. Symtpoms are a lack of high blood pressure, yellowish appearance on your palms and soles, anemia , lack of proteinuria and slow progression of the kidney failure.

Although the exact cause is still being investigated, it is now though that it is related to consumption of certain herbs containing aristolochic acid.
