A member asked:

Is it true that alcohol-based hand sanitizers can prevent poison oak from causing a rash after contact?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It can help: The allergen of poison oak is soluble in alcohol. It can be more easily removed from the skin but it can't be prevented.
