What does it mean to have stage 5 prostate cancer?

Prostate ca stages: When one looks at the stages of cancers, generally they are divided into stage i-iv. This is based on local extent of disease. This is also true for prostate cancer so that incidental disease is stage i, palpable diseases stage ii, locally advanced disease is stage iii, and metastatic disease is stage iv. Stage v is not a widely accepted or used prostate cancer stage.
