Maybe: The above list of infections will all cause loose stools, but so do so many other things that the only way to differentiate between them is to see your doc and get your stool tested. I b s can only be diagnosed in the absence of other infections, so don't jump to this conclusion without being tested.

Since I was a kid I used to have soft lose poop, sometimes liquid as I suffer IBS. Now I changed my eating habits and I expected to have even softer because I'm eating a lot of fiber but no.... now I have hard stools! is this normal?
