Friends or Patient: It would depend on whether the doctor's fb page is set up for personal or professional. Some doctors maintain connections with their patients on fb providing information about their clinic, medical issues, etc. If the fb page is the doctor's personal page, then i would expect your doctor to not accept the friend request, if you are strictly a patient.
