Symptoms differ: An is a fixed belief that one is "fat" that leads to calorie restriction, exercise, or both, despite actually being markedly underweight. Bulimia is a pattern of taking in huge amounts of calories and then purging them by throwing up or abusing laxatives; most bulimics are normal weight. You can be both--a so-called bulimarexic.

Both are significant problems. Please have a complete physical exam to know if you have a physical illness. Then see a clinical psychologist with expertise in multiple types of psychotherapy for help coping and a Psychiatrist for medication. A support group can be helpful.
