Clarification Needed: Hi richard: i am not entirely sure what you meant by "make it grow back?" retinols (r's) are a group of over-the-counter medications, as opposed to retinods (prescription medications) that affect the skin cell turnover, causing peeling of the skin. Sometimes, this is intended outcome of the treatment. Using r's less frequently and using moisturizing creams (e.g., cerave) may alleviate symptoms.
