A member asked:

What are the differences between fatty liver and chronic liver?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Likely fibrosis, etc: Fatty liver is an early, reversible change from drinking and/or mid to long duration obesity. If drinking is stopped/lowered, and/or obesity is corrected, this goes away. If these and other forms of insults are imposed on the liver for a long time, the changes are chronic and irreversible, with fibrisis and chronic inflammation, leading to cirrhosis of the liver, and certain death. See dr., etc.
