Causes of wrinkles: Wrinkles are caused by extrinsic & intrinsic reasons. Extrinsic reasons are sun exposure, smoking, environmental pollutants, tanning beds. Using sunblock helps with this. Intrinsic wrinkles are due to aging, menopause/andropause (hormone replacement helps, chronic diseases. Patients who are healthier & limit sun exposure generally look younger. Ethnic skin looks younger due to the extra melanin.

Agree with all: Sun and smoking are the two most likely causes. Don't smoke, avoid sun exposure--especially at mid-cay, and if you can't stay out of the sun, use a sunscreen.

Sun,smoking, genes: The most common things that cause premature wrinkling and skin damage are sun exposure, tanning booths, smoking and heredity. Use of effective sun blocks and staying out of tanning booths will help. Don't smoke! careful skin care and skin maintenance with a licensed esthetician will also help.
