Not usually: Occasional use of low dose marijuana does not appear to cause damage. Repeated use of high doses can cause damage. If associated with use of other bad drugs, poor nutrition, addiction behavior, the outcome can be severe.

The big cognitive/ emotional issues can be permanent if used in adolescence and early 20’s. The immediate effects in older folks can impair judgement, processing speed and focus. Have encountered MVA’s in Co due to “stoned” drivers and being under influence
