Tremors: It is not uncommon to have familial tremors, which bother when the hands are held upright. This can also occur secondary to medicines and hyperthyroidism. (parkinson's tremors usually start on one side, and are present at rest, rather than sustention). Many medicines can help, such as benzodiazepines, xanax, (alprazolam) primidone, even alcohol (not the best approach). Avoidance of coffee or stimulants?
