A member asked:

Can one be allergic to wearing contacts?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Giant papillary: Conjunctivitis may be the problem. Symptoms resemble an allergy in the eye but are really an irritant reaction to the presence of a foreign body, the contact lens, confined to the narrow space between the eye & the lid. A photo of this condition is shown. If you are having symptoms you should bring it to the attention of your eye specialist who can make a diagnosis and provide effective treatment.
