How do i know if i am allergic to oysters? do i have to try one?

Dr. John Chiu answered

Yes: People can only become allergic to something after at least one exposure. If you have never had oyster before, it will be highly unlikely to get allergic to it unless you have had reaction to mollusks before (clam , abalone, mussels etc).
