Trypanosoma brucei : African sleeping sickness is made up of two serious blood borne diseasse transmitted by the tsetse fly which can be lethal. East african trypanosomiasis is caused by trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense. West african trypanosomiasis (gambian sleeping sickness) is caused by trypanosoma brucei gambiense.
