See below. : There are two phases of the disease. First, headaches, fevers, and muscle ; joint aches can develop in addition to a sore at the bite site. This is followed with a second phase involving issues with sleep including daytime sleepiness, cognitive impairment, tingling and numbness, and issues with balance and coordination. Other neurologic symptoms and signs may be present as well.
