Not a lot: In fact, we see many patients who have intracranial bleeding from simple falls from a standing position.

No Single Number: There is no single number that can quantitate the force needed to cause traumatic brain injury (tbi), as there are simply too many factors. Such as, area of force, location of force, underlying anatomical uniqueness of individual based on age and size as well as any pre-existing medical problems such as hypo-coagulopathies. Suffice it to say that you can have tbi from a simple fall from standing.
