A member asked:

How do i treat a presistent sinus infection without ingesting antibiotics ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nasal irrigation: Sometimes irrigating the nose with large volumes of saline can help improve the nose's ability to clean itself. I have found that using the "neil-med" nasal irrigation system can be of some benefit. Decongestants can also be of help. If you have an allergic history antihistamines can be of benefit. You also want to make sure that you have the right diagnosis. Many times people think they have a sinus infection when they don't.
