What other types of gum are there besides bubble gum and chewing gum?

Xylitol gum: Xylitol is a naturally occurring sugar substute. It has a number of anti bacterial properties some of which are very helpful in prevention and treatment of tooth decay, it does require that a threshold level of xylitol be introduced each day (usually 6mg).

Chewing gum: I generally don't recommend gum. However it can be helpful if you can not get to a toothbrush after a meal, but only chew for 5 minutes. Never swallow the gum. Make sure it is sugarless. If it has xylitol and it does not bother your stomach that would be ok to use for 5 minutes.
