Stop cutting.: Once the skin is cut, a scar will result. Not too deep a cut--not too bad a scar, unless it gets infected, picked, or tanned. Keeping a new wound clean, protected, and noninfected helps to minimize any scarring that will result. Some areas are worse than others, even in the same person. Scar pads, gels, and vitamin E massage can also help reduce scarring, but stop or remove is impossible!
