Maybe: I would see your dentist first to determine the degree of damage you may have created. The dentist will treat the condition or if you are a complicated case may then refer you to a specialist.

Teeth clenching: Most people clench their teeth due to stress. Visit with a dentist or orthodontist to discuss your options. Maybe just a night guard will be needed but a full diagnosis or treatment option can't be formulated without an exam.

Not necessarily : If your only symptoms are clenching (or grinding at night, ) then a general dentist may suffice. If the dentist detects other tmj/tmd signs during a history and exam, then a TMJ specialist may be in order.
