A member asked:

Can cat scratch fever cause swollen lymph nodes with no other symptoms? around barn cats at times and have a reg. cat in the house.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

That is most common: Single, large, mildly painful lymphnode is the most common presentation after the initial several small papules(zit-like) at the site-of-infection/innoculation, usually 1-3 wks later. Most of the cases resolve on their own without treatment in 2-12 month, but some have fever/fatigue, headache, anorexia, joint pain, and other rare/severe symptoms. Consult to make sure this is catscratch. Good luck.
