Fats Used For Energy: Triglycerides (tg) are fats used to store energy. High blood tg can occur with high blood pressure, high blood sugar, low "good" cholesterol (hdl-c), and increased waist size. Most people with high tg also have high LDL particle number with mildly abnormal LDL cholesterol. In these settings risk of heart disease is high. Also, tg > 500 can cause pancreatitis. See your doctor.
