Possibly not: Especially if you are taking it due to placement of a drug coated stent within the last 12 months. If this is the case you are at increased risk of stent thrombosis. See yor doctor immediately.

Aspirin= sub ok: Unless you are allergic to aspirin, you can use Aspirin while you are out of plavix--they both do the same job. Plavix (clopidogrel) is only marginally better than aspirin, but a huge cost difference. Double check with your doc to see if you really need plavix--such as recent cardiac stenting etc... Otherwise, Aspirin may be adequate for you. Good luck.

Plavix (clopidogrel) withdrawal : No it depends why you are taking plavix (clopidogrel). If you had a recent stent to the heart and you stop Plavix (clopidogrel) it can result in a acute closure of the stent.
