Okay, but...: If your allergist is treating for a secondary bacterial infection (aka impetigo) he may consider an alternative antibiotic for staph like Clindamycin (even though it is foul tasting). Don't be impatient as skin conditions like eczema will have good days and bad. Continue your skin care with cool water and moisturizer and topical hydrocortisone. Talk to your allergist if you are not comfortable!

???: I wouldn't want to doubt the allergist, but Keflex is a strong antibiotic and we are talking about a very young child. I would get a 2nd opinion from your/ a pediatrician.
