Unlikely this late: If you had Foley catheter used during surgery or post op there is increased risk of urinary tract infection at time of surgery but unlikely to occur this far post op in time unless your are self catherterizing as a result of bladder issues occuring preop related to why you needed surgery or as a result of surgery. There is possibility of an untreated urinary tract infection going to kidney now.

Probably not: If it's been five months since your surgery and now you're having kidney symptoms, then it is rather unlikely that the source of infection was the spinal procedure.
