No: Crohn's is a specific type of colitis that can affect any part of your GI tract. Ulcerative colitis mainly affects your colon. Colitis is simply a word that means an inflamation of he colon.

No: Colitis = inflammation of the colon. It is a condition, a disease state that can be seen with infection, medication, trauma, neoplasm and a number of autoimmune problem such as crohn's disease. Crohn's disease is not restricted to just your colon.
