Not usually: Hydrocephalus is easily controlled. However, associated problems may lead to urine infections. The most common is spina bifida. There is a defect of nerve control of the bladder as well as excess brain water. Neurogenic bladder may cause poor bladder emptying. This may lead to urine infections. A thorough medical evaluation would be appropriate.
