Great idea!: Doctors sometimes ask their patients to take pictures or videos of symptoms that come and go, because such symptoms often are not there on the day of a doctor's appointment. For ulcers, one can take a bunch of pictures from different angles, and delete all the ones that don't show the ulcers clearly. A doctor only needs 5 or 10 good pictures.
