Niacin: You can take Niacin but be preparedfor flushing of the face, rashes or worsening of your liver problems.

Complicated.: Can take Niacin or fenofibrate, but may not need to. Single trig value may mis-represent the average trig value. Could be result of other metabolic abnormality.Measure trig and sugar on several occasions including non fasting samples. If in 1000 range will require treatment. If lower maybe not. Try another statin. Your LDL is probably 100. If no coronary artery disease or stroke 100 is fine.
