Diplopia: I assume by tbi you mean traumatic brain injury. If this is correct, youneed to have an complete eye exam to determine the cause. Tbi is associated with cranial nerve palsies and post-concussive syndrome, both of which can cause diplopia.

Contusion: Your tbi causes a host of symptoms due to damage to the neurons in the brain. But the contusion you had, might have also done some damage to one of the nerves leading to the eye muscles, causing a misalignment leading to doubling of vision. You should see a neuro-ophthalmologist to evaluate this or at least begin with an ophthalmologist.

Possibly: Tbi can affect the nerves that control the movement of the eyes. This can lead to double vision. Also double vision can occur because of direct injury to the orbits or the muscles of the orbit. This can impede the normal movement of one eye vs the other and double vision ensues.
