Goes away by itself: Hepatitis from ebv infection (mono) is usually mild and self-resolving. Rarely, it leads to liver failure with severe jaundice. In the more severe cases, the liver specialists, intensive care specialists, and infectious disease specialists might try using steroids or anti-virals. For the mild and moderate cases, the liver heals up by itself.
