Evaluate the cause: Jaundice, which is due to serious liver diseae, sometimes will show up first by a yellowing of the whites of the eyes. The urine will also be quite discolored. If this occurs, you will need to quickly see a gastroenterologist, especially with a liver orientation if possible, and find the cause and recommend treatment. This can be very serious.
