Could be: Go see your doctor to get your labs drawn. If calcium, parathyroid hormone and thyroid hormone are normal. Then all you have to do is follow this nodule with another u/s in the future (approximately 1 year) to make sure it's not changing.

True: However only if you have elevated PTH and calcium. Sometimes if in doubt needle can be used to sample the cyst for pth. If it is parathyroid level in cyst will be very high.
