My ankle is swollen some, like it swells in hot weather. behind that leg is a sore spot, and when you run your hand over it , you feel a lump. just wondering what this could be. thanks!?

See a doctor: Swelling and pain are never a good sign. You should have it checked.

Blood clot: This sounds serious. See a doctor to check for a blood clot.

Anytime: I hear the word "lump" i think it should be seen by a doctor. A lump always carries with it the risk there is some malignant process. (not to scare you - just trying to be prudent.) there are many things that can be a lump, something as benign as a ganglionic cyst or a varicose vein but since you said "lump" the recommendation is to see a doctor.
