Fair enough: If the caretakers cannot take care of their loved ones it is ok to put the elderly in a nh so that hey can be better cared for.

Yes: Sometimes hospice care is possible or at home care full time but often this is not practical. Tried everything first with our parents before we put them in a nursing home. It is a very hard thing to do and my heart goes out to you.

That's fair.: The elderly can require a lot of specialized attention, more than untrained family members can properly provide. Sometimes admission to a nursing home is a way to get the elderly person the care that she truly and realistically required, that level of care that only medically trained personnel can provide. Sometimes it is for the best.
