Depends: You should be seen by a neurosurgeon, especially if you have any symptoms associated with it. Observation with close imaging follow-up may be approprate in select cases if asymptomatic. The usual treatment for the symptomatic meningioma include surgical resection, transarterial embolization and radiation.

Very different: Schwannomas are tumors of the nerve sheaths and are located outside the brain. Meningiomas are tumors of the lining of the brain and the spinal cord and not related to nerves at all. Schwannoimas require intial surgery for management typically while meningiomas can be removed by surgery or given radiation if no surgery is possible. Both are usually not cancerous.
