See a dermatologist: I would strongly suggest seeing a dermatologist. This is obviously a very troubling issue for you. A dermatologist can use meds and techniques like dear abrasion to minimize and fade the scars.

Yes: You will want to see a specialist in person to help you with prescriptions and/or procedures to solve your problems. It can definitely be helped with the right combination of treatments. It is something we are able to help patients with daily so don't lose hope!

Dark acne scars.....: Agree with recommendations to see a dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon that specializes in management of acne and acne scarring. You can achieve significant improvement of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and acne scarring as well as controlling on-going break outs by using combination therapy including orals, topicals, peels, isolaz, laser resurfacing treatments. Most of all be patient.
