Sometimes: The "poop out" effect of antidepressants is something we've seen happen especially with ssri's like zoloft, (sertraline) prozac, etc. Dose adjustments or a different medicine may be needed. Other views include dr. Lewis mehl-madrona in narrative psychiatry. He feels that the person's social circles are critical in healing -- & if changes aren't made in the way these systems work, depression likely recurs.
