Does being lazy causes depression?

No: Usually "laziness" is a result of depression, not cause of it. Exercise is an important activity in dealing with depression, along with diet, medication, and help from your doctor.

While depression: Can lead to lack of motivation, drive ; energy (which could appear like laziness), i believe that in some people who are predisposed to depression that an unhealthy lifestyle can contribute to expression of depression. This might include things like being lazy about exercise, nutrition, self -care , assertiveness etc.
